BOLO AI Publishing Pipeline

Structured AI publishing software for books and knowledge content.

BOLO enables authors, educators and organizations to create books, guides, manuals and knowledge material in a controlled workflow — from outline and generation to editing, illustration, translation and publishable export.

BOLO also includes Fiction Mode for authors who want complete first-draft manuscripts from a structured Book Brief, with final human editing recommended before release.

From long-tail nonfiction publishing — steady income from many specialized niche titles — to educational material, company documentation, travel guides and specialized knowledge books, BOLO turns ideas into structured, publishable books.

BOLO acts as an AI orchestration layer for book production. Instead of generating isolated text, it controls structure, content flow, terminology and output quality across the entire publishing pipeline.

In addition, BOLO can automatically suggest illustrations based on your content. You choose how many images you want, and BOLO handles the rest — generating them and placing them correctly into the book with captions, without requiring manual prompting.

BOLO is designed as a system, not a prompt-based tool — enabling consistent, scalable and production-ready output rather than isolated text generation.

BOLO for Education

Structured output, not loose AI chat

  • The Book Brief becomes the project source: subject, target group, level, tone and constraints carry through the entire production.
  • BOLO builds around chapters, headings and content flow instead of separate chat answers.
  • Each chapter gets a clear role in the whole, with scope, repetition and continuity checked during generation.
  • Terminology, facts, tone, text length and information level are kept balanced across the material.
  • Text, illustrations, captions and DOCX/PDF/EPUB export are handled in one workflow, with editable DOCX before final PDF export.

Try BOLO first

Download the full BOLO application and test the complete workflow free for 7 days before choosing a license.

Tip: The best way to learn BOLO is to run small test generations. Creating one to three chapters usually costs only a few cents and quickly shows how the workflow behaves.
Note: Because BOLO is a new application, your browser or Windows may show a security warning during download. This is normal for newly released software.

Before you begin

BOLO uses the OpenAI API to generate text. To use the program, you need your own OpenAI API key.

How to get your OpenAI API key

  1. Go to:
    https://platform.openai.com/api-keys
  2. Sign in if needed (you can use Google, Apple, Microsoft or email).
  3. Click Create new secret key and save it.
  4. Open Billing in the left menu and add a small amount (for example $5 to start).
  5. Paste the key into BOLO and start generating.
This usually takes just a few minutes.
You only pay for what you generate. Small tests typically cost in the tens of cents.

Buy a license

Customers can test first, then choose the license period that fits their work. BOLO keeps the license cost low, while AI generation is paid separately through your own OpenAI API key only when you actually produce content. Secure checkout via Stripe. A paid invoice/receipt is provided after purchase.

Low monthly cost, pay for generation only when needed. Unlike many AI writing services with high monthly subscriptions, BOLO uses your own OpenAI API key. Typical costs are around $1–4 for nonfiction books. Fiction books can cost 2–4x more depending on complexity and narrative depth. Price examples are based on GPT-5.4.

What BOLO is for

BOLO is designed to make AI-assisted book production simpler, more structured and more predictable. It is especially well suited to nonfiction books, guidebooks, educational material, geographic books, historical projects and other long-form factual writing.

Fiction Mode creates complete first-draft manuscripts from a structured Book Brief, including chapters, characters, conflict, emotional development, and a clear ending. It is designed for full manuscript generation rather than chat-style writing. A final human edit is recommended before publishing to refine style, dialogue, pacing, and continuity.
